Tampa Convention Center is now at 100% Capacity
On June 21st, Tampa Convention Center announced that it has increased its capacity limits to 100% for all upcoming events. As part of their TCC Ready campaign and GBAC Star Accreditation, they will continue to follow safety protocols and ensure that all touch areas are continuously cleaned and sanitized.
Capital Improvement Projects
Tampa Convention Center’s largest renovation project in history is underway. The $38 million Capital Improvement Plan will result in a better customer experience, increased efficiency, and cost savings. Recently completed projects include renovated ballrooms that feature new carpeting, paint and upgraded lighting, as well as renovated bathrooms that are both functional and beautiful. Also completed are updates to several dining experiences throughout the convention center including Big Ray’s Fish Camp Restaurant & The Sail Plaza. This reimagined space creates a one of a kind experience, complete with a 360-degree waterfront bar and other improvements to allow for enhanced outdoor event capabilities. Still in progress are updates to existing meeting rooms and brand new waterfront meeting rooms, due to be completed by March 2023. The new meeting rooms will feature floor to ceiling windows with views of the Garrison Channel, and will also serve as flexible space that can be converted as an extension of the existing exhibit hall.
